245D Home & community-based Services

Homemaking Services are general household activities provided to a recipient who's unable to manage their home due to changes in their health. Homemaking services focus on managing the home with the emphasis on the recipient's safety and wellbeing.

Some tasks/duties performed by a homemaker are:

• Laundry
• Housekeeping
• Arranging for transportation
• Meal preparation
• Shopping for groceries, clothing, and household supplies
• Basic household repairs

Companion Services focus on the supervision and socialization of individuals age 18 and older. 

Personal Support services have an emphasis on supporting the individual's potential, independence, and inclusion in the community. 

Individualized Home Supports without Training are services under companion and personal support combined.
