Alternative Care is a home and community-based services program for individuals 65 and older who choose to live in the community while requiring the level of care provided in a nursing facility. This program is also for people who aren't financially eligible for Medical Assistance (MA).

Brain Injury Waiver program is an alternative to institutionalization for children and adults with a diagnosis of brain injury. These individuals require the level of care provided in a specialized nursing facility or neurobehavioral hospital. This program helps the person live independently while promoting health, independence, and safety in the community.

Developmental Disabilities Waiver provides home and community-based services to children and adults diagnosed with a developmental disability. These individuals require the level of care provided in an intermediate care facility for persons with developmental disabilities. The purpose of this program is to also promote health, independence, and safety in the community.

Community Access for Disability Inclusion Waiver provides home and community-based services for children and adults with disabilities. These individuals require the level of care provided in a nursing home. The purpose of this program is to also promote health, independence, and safety in the community. Eligibility for this program requires the individual to be certified disabled by the SMRT.

Community Alternative Care Waiver is designed for chronically ill or medically fragile children and adults under 65 years of age who require the level of care provided in a hospital. Independence, health, and safety in the community is also the purpose of this program.

Elderly Waiver is a program for individuals 65 years and older who require the level of care provided in a nursing home. To be eligible for this program, individuals must choose to live in the community. Elderly Waiver also provides many services beyond what is approved through Medical Assistance.
